Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Hotel Ghironi in La Spezia was a delightful escape, perfectly blending comfort with convenience. The moment we arrived, the helpful front desk staff made us feel right at home. They even went the extra mile, securing a wonderful dinner reservation at a charming local restaurant, which is a must when exploring the region! Our room was clean and spacious, featuring a cozy balcony that offered a lovely view of the city—ideal for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The complimentary breakfast in the stunning courtyard was the cherry on top, filled with a variety of delicious options and served by the ever-engaging hostess who made incredible cappuccinos. Perhaps the biggest highlight was the hotel's stellar location; just a short drive from La Spezia Cruise Terminal, it’s the perfect jumping-off point for day trips, including the beautiful Cinque Terre, which you can easily reach via a ferry from the harbor. With a nice bar and serene garden to unwind in, Hotel Ghironi truly offers a luxurious experience tailored to both leisure and exploration—definitely a place I’d return to during my future travels around Italy!
